UPGRADE YOUR SYSTEM!

Happy New Year To You Dear Family - I hope you are as expectant as I am for this beautiful year 2024! So, as we prepare for the great things we are expecting, I thought to share a little nugget on UPGRADES with you today.

The concept of Upgrade is not strange to most of us. We upgrade our phones and computer operating systems regularly and we even upgrade our wardrobes!

I recently saw a picture of myself and realised that I have truly upgraded myself, looks included in the last 15 years. I wonder if that can be said of you. Not only when it comes to your look but to your life generally and spirit-man specifically.

As I thought about this, I remember a while back when I stopped upgrading my iPhone system. I truly believed that the upgrading of the operating system was leading to the slowing down of my phone, so I stopped upgrading my operational system. As time went on, I discovered that there were increasing amount of things I could no longer do on the iPhone. It was now slowly getting so out of date that it was not operating up to the capacity that it was designed to.

Choosing not to upgrade due to costs, time or even resistance to change can lead to us functioning below par. God has designed for you and I to function at our maximum capacity and that will require us upgrading our spiritual life as well as other aspects of your lives. 

God in instructing His children about His own willingness to help them operate at their maximum capacity said

'See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wastelands.' Isaiah 43:19

The bible also says:

'The steadfast love of our God never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.' Lamentation 3:22-23

If God always does new things; then we need to agree with Him by being open to new and better things always.

In this new year, choose to have a closer walk with God, strengthen yourself in the place of stronger prayer time with God, read more of His word, develop yourself spiritually, mentally and emotionally so you can live an upgraded life!
