I read this story earlier today and thought to share with you, the lesson I have learnt from it.
‘An old Cherokee chief sat down to teach his grandson about life.
“There’s a fight going on inside me,” he tells the young boy, “a fight between two wolves.”
“One wolf is evil. It’s full of malice, anger, greed, self-pity and false pride. The other is good. It’s full of peace, love, joy, kindness, and humility.”
“This same fight is going on inside you and everyone else on the face of the earth.”
The grandson was quiet, pondering this revelation for a moment before asking, “Grandfather, which wolf will win?”
The old man smiled and replied, “The one you feed.’
This is so simple and true, what we feed or give attention to is what we develop. You become a master at what you spend time mastering, whereas you can be a slave to whatever you allow master you.
What do you spend your time feeding? The bible says
‘Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.’ Proverbs 4;23
Our lives are shaped by our thoughts. Constantly audit your thoughts, because they are so powerful and can lead you into a place you do not want to end. So take time to focus your heart on the word of God so you can experience God’s plan for you in every area of your life.
Feed your mind with the word of God, testimonies of what God has done and can do. Always remember, what you feed determines what grows - good or bad.
God is on your side!
